Blog Post by Laurie Davis
A couple of months ago my precious friend and I had a lovely front porch visit. I admired her fruit trees not knowing that it would become a beautiful story. Bev gave me some fruit from her tree and I kept the seed. I took the seed home and planted it.
That’s all the control and all the power I have over the seed. I plant it then the Creator of the Universe steps in and nurtures the seed and with His authority the seed blooms. Under the soil it begins reaching for the light.
The small seed had the intelligence given by God to begin growing. It knows to grow deep roots and it’s forever reaching for the light. It grows branches and small limbs as it seeks and seeks more light. It never gets tired of growing and reaching its potential. I was once a seed. Look at me now. You too have a seed. Seek the light. Grow your roots deep and lift your branches and limbs toward the light. Bloom where you are planted.
Prayer
Thank you, Lord, for where you have planted me. Help me to keep reaching for you so that I can continue to grow and bloom into all that you purposed for me. In Jesus name. Amen.
