Recently, I went through an experience that left me grasping for answers. I could not make sense of anything surrounding the situation in my natural mind. A friend and I prayed that any darkness would be exposed in His light. They are starting to.
A few weeks later, another situation arose surrounding a different matter. I thought “why not, I’ll pray about this also”. Things were revealed very quickly this time.
The next day, I was thanking God for shining light on both situations and exposing things that protected me and people I love. Then I prayed one of those difficult prayers, kind of bracing myself. “Father shine your light in the depths of my heart and expose darkness in me that needs to be cleansed.”
He began to show me some things that need refining and pruned. Things I asked forgiveness for and repented of. Things I turned over to Him to work out of me.
I know we won’t be perfected until we meet Him face to face- but friends, I just don’t believe we have tons of time left to get it together. I say this to myself first and then to you all, in love because I want you with me. So why not repent and ask Him for help now? Take up our cross and follow Him wholeheartedly now.
Everything exposed by the light is made clear, for what makes everything clear is light. Therefore, it is said “Get up sleeper and rise from the dead, and the Messiah will shine on you”. – [Ephesians 5:13-14]

Prayer
Abba, come examine my heart, pruning all that hinders love and my walk with you. Remove all that keeps my light from shining bright and re-presenting you in this earth. In Jesus name. AMEN.

Thanks for sharing Buffy this just goes along with what I was reading in Psalms 51 about David and the sin and how we must confess repent and then purpose and choose to forgive others as well as ourselves so that we can receive the freedom that God intended for us to have!
